Emergency Contraceptive

The Emergency Contraceptive pill, also known as the morning after pill is available at all our Wilsons Pharmacies:

  • Levonelle – should be taken within 72 hours (3 days) of sex

The emergency contraceptive pill can cause nausea, dizziness or fatigue, or give you a headache, tender breasts or abdominal pain. Taking this pill can cause your period to be earlier or later than expected. If you or sick within two hours of taking the Levonelle you must consult your GP for more medical advice.

Our emergency contraceptive pill service is free to patients at our Borrowash, Castle Gresley and Draycott  branches. Our remaining Wilsons pharmacists at all other branches can offer advice, GP refferals and sell this product where appropriate.
