Got a question about 24/7 collection?

Yes, our automated collection points are accessible from outside of the store and are available 24/7 so you can collect your prescription any time that suits you, including at the weekend or on bank holidays.

The machines are designed to the same standards as cashpoints to ensure your safety and the safety of your medication. You can only access the Collection Point with the unique pin code (which will change for every collection) sent to you when your medication is ready to collect. Keep this information safe.

Yes. Only share your unique pin code with individuals that you trust to access your medication. Ensure that they keep your pin code and personal information safe.

Yes. If you pay for your prescriptions you can pay for them via chip and pin or contactless on the front of the machine.

If you cannot find your pin code, you can call the pharmacy and the team can re-send the code. Alternatively, pop in and the team will retrieve it from the Collection Point for you.

Your medicines will stay in the Collection Point for up to 4 days.

You will be sent a text reminder to collect your medication(s) 24 hours before your PIN code expires.

If you have not collected your medicines after 4 days, your medication will be removed from the collection point and you will be sent a text letting you know it is available to collect from the pharmacy counter (during pharmacy opening hours).

There are some items the collection point cannot be used for clinical or regulatory reasons, these include:

    1. Controlled drugs like morphine, fentanyl, oxycodone etc.
    2. Drugs that need to be stored in a fridge (although we are working on this so watch this space!)
    3. Very large bulky items

Sometimes SMS messages, including pin codes from trusted services like ours, may not arrive due to settings on your phone or account-level blocks with your mobile carrier. UK networks (EE, O2, Vodafone, and Three) have filters to protect against spam and scams, which can occasionally affect legitimate messages. The issue is usually on the receiving side and can often be fixed quickly.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve it:

General steps for any phone or carrier
  • Check your phone’s blocked numbers or spam settings and make sure our short code isn’t blocked (Wilsons24-7).
    • On Android: Open your Messages app > Settings > Blocked contacts or Spam protection > Look for and unblock any relevant short codes.
    • On iPhone: Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Blocked Contacts > Remove any relevant entries. Also check if “Screen Unknown Senders” and “Filter Spam” is turned on and try turning it off.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Ensure you have good signal and that your phone isn’t in airplane mode.
EE customers
  • Call EE on 150 from your phone (or use their online chat) and ask them to check for any blocks on short code or premium messages.
  • They can quickly remove any restrictions on your account.
O2 customers
  • Check your messaging app for any premium message blocks and turn them off if enabled.
  • Review your blocked numbers list in the app settings.
  • Call O2 on 202 from your phone and ask them to remove any bars on short codes or premium rate messages.
Vodafone customers
  • Check your phone settings to ensure short codes aren’t blocked.
  • Call Vodafone on 191 from your phone and ask them to check for any account-level blocks on short code or notification messages.
Three customers
  • Log into the Three app or My3 online and check your spend cap – if it’s set to £0, this can block some short code messages (even free ones). Increase it slightly if needed.
  • Call Three on 333 from your phone and ask them to confirm there are no blocks on short code messaging.
